Wow we are completely thrilled to have stumbled upon this EXTREMELY RARE 1961 Citroen HY 72 Pick Up Truck. This is an unbelievable find and we can’t wait to see it in person! This amazing piece of history has actually been tucked away in storage for over 10 years!! This truck can be used for fun around town or even for light commercial use. It’s going to be a head-turner, that’s for sure! It is so rare to see a Citroen pick up truck in the US.

It’s not too often that we have a Citroen Acadiane in the house, but one is on its way to Eurocar Imports straight from California. This is a very rare truck and it’s in great condition. I’ll be giving it a thorough evaluation inside and out when it arrives, but from what I see on paper, it’s ready for a new owner now!
The Acadiane is a small commercial vehicle, great for businesses that transport goods and packages or for a vintage car enthusiast that loves the unique style and extra space inside.

Here is the finished shot of the black on black Citroen 2CV we were working for. Our client, Mike Duffy, uses his Citroen 2CV to attract customers to his Blue Generation line of polo shirts and twill oxford shirts. Mike first met the 2CV in the 1980′s while traveling in France and found the vehicle very interesting. As Mike likes to say, ‘It’s a classy but at the same time, funky car. We couldn’t agree with you more Mike!

We just finished stripping it down and a fresh coat of paint has gone on so far. Pretty soon she will be pimped out with everything needed to prep and serve food to the people of San Fran…a new stainless steel sink, refrigerator, full-sized generator…and more!

Noel Slade, an expert vintage car mechanic specializing in the restoration and rebuilding of vintage Citroen cars, says business is booming with inquiries from companies that want to incorporate the Citroen H Van into their mobile business. Busy with requests to restore and rebuild vintage H vans, Slade says this old delivery truck from France is making a huge comeback with businesses in the US. Slade owns Eurocar Imports in Toms River, NJ.

Designed as a light delivery truck in France from 1947-1981, the H van was popular among small business owners that delivered breads and baked goods. As of late, the H van’s unique look and convenient capabilities has gained widespread attention of business owners that want their brand to stand out in the crowd.
According to Slade, most of his H van customers are food service owners. “We are recreating the H van into a modern food service truck,” explains Slade. “We are working on an H Van right now that is getting a new stainless steel sink, refrigerator, full-sized generator…and more. When it’s done it will be serving up fresh food on the streets of San Francisco.”
He imports the vintage H vans from France and sells them to Citroen enthusiasts as well as businesses. At his restoration body shop in Toms River, he shows off an impressive collection of Citroen cars, vans and truckettes. Some of the most unique Citroen cars can be seen on his property and many are for sale.
Slade has dedicated more than a decade to breathing new life into worn down Citroen cars. His best seller- the Citroen 2CV- is sought after by businesses, vintage car enthusiasts and modern consumers looking to cruise around in a historically good looking car that is known to sip fuel better than any modern day hybrid. It’s not too common that we have a Citroen Acadiane in our shop to work on. These small, commercial vehicles are so hard to come by, and you can see why. They are amazing to look out, even better to drive or own! Citroen only produced the Acadiane from 1978-1987 and there were only about 250,000 made. We were able to supply this Acadiane for one of our very good customers who also ordered a Citroen 2CV from us last year.
Now that the Acadiane is here, of course we are going to completely transform this truck into a gorgeous vehicle that runs even better than it looks!

1976 vintage Citroen Truckette for sale.
