This is the latest Citroen 2CV Truckette, completely reubilt by Citroen Import Services and ready to go home to its new lucky owner. This Truckette is going to be used all year round and we’ve added some great convenience features to make this ride smooth and enjoyable.

Here is the finished shot of the black on black Citroen 2CV we were working for. Our client, Mike Duffy, uses his Citroen 2CV to attract customers to his Blue Generation line of polo shirts and twill oxford shirts. Mike first met the 2CV in the 1980′s while traveling in France and found the vehicle very interesting. As Mike likes to say, ‘It’s a classy but at the same time, funky car. We couldn’t agree with you more Mike!

We are hard at work transforming a Citroen H van into a ultra modern food service van that will serve the streets of San Francisco. This monster-sized Citroen van will be get a stainless steel sink, refrigerator, full sized generator, new interior, new exterior paint job and MUCH MUCH more.

One of our world famous Citroen 2CV rebuilds done in the fantastic dolly color scheme! Like always, we included a new galvanized frame, floor pans, a rebuilt 602cc engine, all new brakes, shocks, new clutch, exhaust system and so much more. A special feature on this 2CV is the Chrome robi trim we added for fenders.
Cruisin in this Dolly will be music to the new owner’s ears as we also installed a new radio and CD player!
This is TRULY the next best thing to owning a brand new Citroen car.

The Citroen mechanics at Eurocar Imports are working on another Citroen rebuild, this time in Celeste Blue. We’re giving her a polished look with upgraded chrome bumpers and a nice luggage rack. We are also adding a radio/cd player. When she’s done, we are shipping her back to Arizona where it’s much warmer and she can once again enjoy cruising around.

Another one of our famous rebuilds is in effect and this time we are working on a rare Citroen 2CV Truckette.
The Truckette was originally designed to be a commercial version of Citroen’s immensely popular 2CV. During the late Fifties and throughout the Sixties and Seventies, the Truckette was the vehicle of choice of most butchers, bakers and candlestick makers throughout France. The Truckette also caught on with small families as the Truckette could be fitted with an extra rear seat and side windows.
Today, business owners love the Truckette for many of the same reasons it was revered in the 50’s and 60’s; small enough to be a comfortable daily driver with enough room to transport goods and equipment with ease. Because they have such a unique look and are rarely seen on the road, the Truckettes make great promotional vehicles. We can outfit any Citroen model with your business colors to act as a moving billboard on the road and get seen by hundreds daily!
Once we have finished with this rebuild, she’s going off to California!

This gray on gray Charleston came to Eurocar for some mechanical work, but as often is the case, the car will be upgraded with a new galvanized frame/floor pans/box section. When we’re done, we will be finishing off this 2CV with a classic yellow/black Charleston color combination!

The Citroen 2CV, or Deux Chevaux, is an icon of the French auto industry but they don’t turn up often in the U.S. This one was parked yesterday in a Montclair, N.J. shopping area. The car’s name comes from the horsepower rating of the engines in early models. With time the 2CV got more muscle under the hood but was never long on power.
It was designed just before World War II but the bulk of production took place from the late 1940s through the late 1980s. Citroen designed the car in part to help the rural French make the transition to cars from horse-drawn wagons. It was simple, rugged, easy on fuel and easy to work on. It was also stylish in an unmistakably French fashion that still holds up well.
Like the Ford Model T in America, the Volkswagen Beetle in Germany, and Austin Mini in Britain, the 2CV helped bring motorized transport to the masses and became a national emblem.
Today they make fun urban and suburban runabouts and can be found in good shape for less than $10,000. Still, I wouldn’t call them entry-level collectibles. Even though they were made for a long time 2CVs were never a big hit in the U.S. and it has been decades since Citroens were last sold here. Certain parts can be hard to find, especially for earlier models. But there are clubs that can help, and for intrepid owners who don’t mind turning the occasional wrench the 2CV can be a rewarding driving experience.
If you want a 2CV or any Citroen, your first step should be to find a good Citroen mechanic who can check out any prospective purchase now and help keep it on the road later.
