Citroen 2CV Surprises Bride and Groom

This is the Citroen 2CV that we re-built for our customer who wanted to surprise his son with it on his wedding day.  Below is the letter we received from the client!

Hi Noel:

citroen 2cv carsTrip from NJ to CT was quite an adventure. It was so hot we had to disconnect one the vent hose, to prevent the heat coming inside the cabin… but apart that, the car ran like a charm.

The wedding was quite a success. We asked all the attendees to surround the 2CV and then we called the bride and the groom outside the restaurant. Everybody was clapping hands, while all of a sudden people moved away to let the 2CV appear.

The groom had tears in his eyes when he discovered the 2CV. I handed over to him the book you gave me and the keys.

No doubt he likes it !

See attached some of the pictures guests took. We also hired a professional photographer. His pictures should be available anytime soon. Will send them to you later this week.

Citroen 2CV Makes Great Wedding Present

This beautiful Celeste blue Citroen 2CV is wedding present for my customer’s son!!! We are in the process of rebuilding here now.  She came to us in maroon and black, and per the customer, she will be finalized in blue.

It will be arranged to be at the church as a surprise for when the bride and groom come out.  Can’t wait to see their faces!

Update on our Citroen 2CV Rebuild From Washington, DC

When this Citroen 2CV arrived at Eurocar Imports from Washington DC, she had been sitting around for the past 2 years collecting dust. Since then, we performed a full restoration on her, including new paint, engine, and full blown makeover from the inside out—she even got custom made cup holders!!!  Yes, here at Eurocar, we can custom make anything for your Citroen.   The owner now plans on using the 2CV as his daily transport.

citroen 2cvRemember her? When you first saw her she was a little run down, rusty red paint and in need of a good overhaul. Well, we did exactly that. As part of her rebuild makeover, she received a:

- Rebuilt Engine and carburetor
- Stainless steel exhaust system
- Chrome bumpers
- Chrome robri trims for fenders
- Luggage rack for trunk
- Cd/radio with 4 speaker system

She’s ready to go back home now, in excellent condition and looking better than ever. Here are her ‘after’ shots!

New Citroen 2CV Rebuild

This Citroen 2CV in blue was shipped to us from Washington DC where she’s been sitting for the past 2 years.  That’s where we come in.  We are doing a complete restoration, from the ground up.  Once completed, the customer plans on using the 2CV as his daily transport, and the 2CV is great for that!

Did you know that the 2CV is one of the most fuel efficient cars around, even today?  A vintage Citroen 2CV can earn up to 40 miles per gallon around town and up to 50 miles per gallon on the highway!

Here are some shots of the 2CV when she first arrived.  She’s been stripped down now, preparing for her complete restoration.  You can see some updated photos below of the ‘inbetween’ stage.

Blueberry and Cream Citroen 2CV

Our customer shipped his Citroen 2CV to Eurocar Imports in NJ all the way from North Carolina.  She arrived stunning in red, but we had other plans for her.

She received a new galvanized frame/gearbox/floor pans/box section/exhaust/seats/roof/and windshield.  And, as you can see, we transformed her look entirely with a new blueberry and cream paint theme.  She looks absolutely gorgeous and is happily reunited with her lucky owner in North Carolina!

Another Citroen 2CV Rebuild Underway at Eurocar

This is the latest Citroen 2CV to arrive at Eurocar. She is going to be completely rebuilt and restored to her modern day beauty.  She’s gorgeous in classic red and white colors, but we are transforming her with celestial blue paint! Stay tuned to see her progression.  Unfortunately for anyone who has eyes for her, she is already spoken for.  But we have plenty more Citroen Cars for sale, so not to worry.

Her makeover will include:

Rebuilding The Citroen 2CV

Here is another Citroen 2CV that has just arrived at Eurocar Imports.  You can see that the body has been stripped bare and is seconds away from being lifted off the old frame.  The rust damage is extensive!

This car is having a full ground-up restoration including new galvanized frame/floor pans and complete body strip down.  All rust will be repaired and she will get a a fresh coat of 2-toned paint in grey along with new seats and tires. She’s going to look amazing when we’re done!

The floors have been totally cut out, you can see below.  Brand new floors will soon be welded into place.

UPDATE!!

We’ve been working hard on this rebuild.  The frame is now finished, as you can see below.  Everything is done in primer for now but a new coat of fresh grey paint (customer’s choice) will be applied next.  The engine is very oily but everything is now stripped down and ready to be cleaned!
